Fellow dev beasts and other crazy crew members,
Sort of an extension of striker's post (http://forum.sa-mp.nl/index.php?topic=32588.0). An awesome job has been done to stabilize the server to what it is now: a pretty well visited server with a playercount around 20 - 70. That's fucking awesome, especially because a few months back that playercount would range from 0 - 20.
Commands have removed, old code has been cleaned up, features have been rewritten and last but not least estroe has shaken up management to sweep through the inactive crew members and take a fresh look at rules and ban durations. This all results in much more clarity and fun, both for players and crew.
I do notice that we're putting a lot of time in admin-related code these days. If I push a new version to the server, I try to remember what things have changed and notice it's mostly crew member stuff. That's ofcourse since we have more players meaning more time has to be put in such things, however, it's time for a turning point.
For too long minigames, awesome filterscripts and player suggestions (http://forum.sa-mp.nl/index.php?board=210.0) have been left aside. We should finish gang implementation (Russell, come back), the new minigame handler (Russell, get your ass over here), implement ingame registration and take a new look at minigames, create new ones etc. That's something we should focus on in 2014.
The userbar needs some adjusments, news messages should be grouped in one specific area of the screen and all that. We should find a way to move player-specific notices out of the chatbox into a seperate box (like when /vr gives a black box notification). More players mean more chatbox spam, hell, I find it very hard to follow most conversations nowadays.
If Kase reads this, I hope he wants to put some time in the new forum look! Atm I am not able to view that theme, is it possible to make it public for crew members and developers? The site also needs some adjusments, but that's not something being high on my priority list.
I also want to thank Xanland for his efforts in providing LVP work, keep that up
Have fun around LVP, that's all what you should care about. Some players act like dicks, but deep within they love LVP, which is why they keep returning
So once again, job well done!
