Mitsubish Super Lancer 2000. What do you guys say?

So I want to buy this car for myself, what are your opinions about this one?

Its a Mitsubishi Super Lancer 2000, first hand, done only 150.000km and I argued about the price with the owner so he is now offering it to me for 3.500$.

Any known issues with this car or anything? I know that it's taking a lot of gas (10 to 1).

They are a solid built car engine wise, 150k on the clock for 2000 model is good, I have a Nissan Xtrail 2002 model that had 130k on it when I got it like 3-4 months ago, If its using alot of fuel do you know why? Does he drive the fuck out of it? I would inspect the car well before you comit to anything also take the oil cap off and smell the oil if it smells burnt DO NOT BUY IT, Check for leaks, tyre wear, brakes, for that price its kind of a rip off being as old as it is imo.

Do you know the owner? Is he family? If so they probably won't give you a bad deal. Unless your family is money hungry.

If not

Ask to take it for a test drive. Go to the garage, let it get reviewed. Or take someone who works there with you OR just take someone with you who knows all about old cars.

At least thats what i would do...

^That too get it checked out by a decent mechanic if you dont know much.
