I don't have an opinion about your last two ideas, but about the first:
- As Lithirm mentioned, you could be hidden permanently on the radar.
- You could also set a value to the nametag's draw distance so the others would be able to see your nametag only when you're from a certain distance from that person. Hide completely the nametag would indeed cause too much trouble, not only because it'ld be pretty hard to take damage on some hit box, but also it'ld be almost impossible to identify if someone's cheating or not. I don't know when it was added before if admins/mods were able to see everyone's nametags, but admins/mods should really be able to see everyone and everywhere. (on the radar and the nametag). Maybe I didn't explain it correctly, but I hope you got my suggestion.
