Hm, ive got an GTX 260 (its pretty cheap nowadays) and i still can run every game on high or highest settings, even Crysis Warhead.
If you'd like to spend more, the GTX 460 has pretty much the best performance for the money.
Oh and dont get confused by AMDs videocard shizzle, they rebranded lots and did some REALLY weird shit. For example, the current HD 5870 is better than the HD 6870 (i know, confusing consumers and stuff, ghey).
if i were you i wouldnt buy anything better/more expensive than a GTX 460 though, it would be overkill.
