One thing you could try is by going to: "Tools > Options > Games > [Click the game in the list]".
In the bottom right there is "In-Game Renderer", try changing that one.
Note: I'm not sure if this works with the games you mention but it works with Battlefield: Bad Company 2, so I thought I'd at least suggest it.
