Ha! I loved Samurai Jack. 
I used to watch it all the time, but remember very few episodes because of how little I was. 
Her motive was to distract Jack from his course (i.e., being a helper of Aku)... or she was simply a very lonely goddess who wanted a companion. Seems simple enough, does it not?
