Games arn't that heavy on the CPU... Crysis and MW2 only use 30% of mine, San Andreas uses approx 5% so I'd go with a better gfx card and faster RAM over a faster chip.
I'd take those benchmarks with a pinch of salt, theres a few things that factor in game performace FSB, RAM, CPU, GPU and even harddrive read times when playing big sandbox type games like GTA IV - usually when benchmarks are being done for gfx cards they are in a fast machine so the less powerfull thing is the gfx card and therefore the gfx card is the bottleneck and can run at full power so you get a stable and good comparison of the different gfx cards.
