Where would i make a server to  map edit?

I don't know much about MTA DM's servers, although I doubt it's much different, but on MTA Race making a server requires a different download (a server client), then you have to put in...some things that I can't remember.  I was only 12 when I tried, and I had (and have) a router which made it harder, aswell as having to tweak around with your ports and some firewall settings.

But you don't need a server to edit / make maps, just make them and if a server Admin likes them, they can put it up for you, or you can get a friend who knows their stuff to help you out in that department.
