What was the most awkward thing you have ever done in LVP?

Oh.. here we go..


Back in 1997 I think when I first was playing on LVP I made a joke asking for money because my my 'mother' had cancer.  I was banned by estroe.

Logged onto IRC and got the ban lifted, only to be banned again a few hours later by estroe saying my ban wasn't lifted.  That was all fine. Their server, they can decide. The only sore point was it was no where in the rules that talking about diseases was allowed.  Pain in the ass but again, their server, whatever they say gos.  Would have been nice for the rule not to joke or talk about diseases to be actually public (to this day I believe its in the fine print on the rules on webpage) but its their server, they can ban whoever they like.

A good while later, I joined and in the course of playing and made a jibe (yet totally valid) against americans where I was banned by TEF for some bullshit reason about 'insulting an entire race)

2 years later I join and start to play again, where I was kicked countless times by certain admins for rubbish things, like using carbombs to kill someone who as a 'terrorist' and withdrawing 20 million x 5 times in a row by darkfire to buy a property he just created that cost 100 million, and not having a platnum account meaning I could only withdraw 20 million at a time x 5 to buy it.

Then came the kicks and abuse by certain admins (Ryder, Joe, Eirn and Haze) for using carbombs against them and their friends, when they are a part and valid part of the gamemode. (notice all american children as far as I know)

Then I was foolish to donate money to LVP, which you would think donating is a is a good thing, but I used temp. credit cards my father had remaining after his death to donate... under his name. Because I carbomb people, and people get upset I had my fathers name mistaken for mine by a couple of people contacting me off the server to issue threats, thinking my fathers name was indeed mine.  How they got this name since it was only used the 3 times I donated to the server is...well.. obivious to me. 

A recent attempt using their private informationm policy and indeed the european data act to try to narrow down how my personal information was leaked to children remained pointless.

Then I was banned from IRC for 3 weeks for suddently joining #lvp.echo and within a few minutes doing a !msg for passing TEF a tampon because he was moaning about something women related.  Probably wouldn't still be playing on LVP if it wasn't for the cancer that is TEF leaving LVP. The real reason for the ban was a personal disagreement between myself and TEF, where I called him, a 17 year old american a 'child'  Seems that stating facts is a crime on LVP at times... anyways, moving on.


And in all this time I have witnessed such events as certain admins trying to ban certain trouble makers, and doing complete range bans.  All good, but the ban in question was in regard to a fellow irish person and the admin asked for information on the ISP.  Due to the complete lack of knowledge of the admin and basic understanding on how the internet and ISPs work he banned 2 out of the 6 IP ranges this person had access to, and the rest, which was about 2.5 million people world wide.

Then I was foolish enough to join the Beta team and try to work with the team to improve the server with the skills I have. Since then I have been bitchslapped by a member of crew for making suggestions and giving opinions on the beta forums. I did offer to make maps but after a conversation with Peter and other members/developers I decided to retract my offer of spending vast hours making maps due to the uncertain future of the server and myself, who suffered a terminal illness not wanting to waste time on somethat that could be a lost cause.  I just wanted clarifcation that it wasn't. Never got it and then the information leek accured as I mentioned before.  Considence, probably. But perhaps not.

So, my conclusion on my recent regular experience and yet akward situation in the last 10 months on LVP is actually caring and trying to make it a better place using my proven sa:mp skills at mapping etc only to be treated like a piece of shit at times by certain crew , kicked and abused many times for simply playing the gamemode in the way it was made and meant to be played and especially having 'my' personal details leaked after donating  And this many week after explaining to management of my concerns and annoyace of the info being leaked

I would conclude that my most awkward moment was hanging around to enjoy the interaction of the few management/admins and players that are nice people and fun to play with apposed to the background few players and people in power will fuck you over. And trust me, they're childish and immature enough to do just that.


Not to sound too much like Future, but theres a reason why LVP is slowly dying, despite the best efforts and time of certain developers and some crew.

Probably a far more detailed explaination you where expect of 'awkward' moments, but thats the truth from my perspective. I crave to think of the perspective for more simple/casual players who where fucked over in the course of the last year by certain crew.  Point made, yet I keep on playing...thats what I really call awkward, my history combined with them knowing my real details when a large percentage of the crew have proved themselves to be undereducated childish people. How foolish I was.
