I have contacted the crewmember and I am awaiting his response for his side of the story.

The reason I kicked him was because he was avoiding death by using commands.
He had been shiplaming a lot. Throwing a nade, running back onto the ship, nade, back on etc.
I was watching him for a while and decided to fight him myself. When I did, he used /dive to stay alive.
When he did, I didn't know where he went so I used /tp to go to him(I forgot the command hiding the message players get).
When I TP'ed, I ended up in midair so I TP'ed a few times more, eventually landing and dying. That explains the teleporting.
As for the kick itself, I kicked him for using /dive again. Not to mention he continued to shiplame.
