Im making serious comments here, so dont ignore this post:
1. 6GB of RAM is overkill, nothing that you are gonna run will take advantage of that much RAM
2. Keep the CPU at a Q9450 ONLY if you up the video card to atleast a 8800GTS, otherwise the graphics card will still be the bottleneck
3. Get atleast a 8800GT no matter what. The 8500GT is absolutely shit, its almost as bad as a 7600GT.
4. Screw the sound card, the on-board sound nowadays is amazing. Also, Creative has the shittiest drivers you will ever see.
5. Who makes the hard drive and what model is it?
Now the whole blu-ray issue...
Its a waste of money on a computer because you might as well just buy a standalone blu-ray playing to watch on a nice 1080p. TV and not some small 24"+ monitor.
If you for some reason still want a blu-ray on your comp, then you NEED an ATI video card because the nVidia ones cannot run video in a 1920x1080 resolution.
6. BUILD YOUR OWN COMPUTER
Cave, if you can answer me this, i will shut up. How is buying an HP computer better than building your own?
