COM surrogate has stopped working

I experience on my new laptop getting the message in the headline in a very short time when I have pictures open in the Windows Viewer. It often happens after 2-3 jumps between pictures. 


I've been looking for a solution, but can't find anything ... 

Are there any clever heads in here who can and will help to fix this rather annoying mistake?

I received the message 'com surrogate is being closed' a few times in the last few days.  

Path to application with error: C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64 \ dllhost.exe  

Usually, it is because the wrong ( or faulty ) codecs are installed for media or image files.  

You could try installing a third-party viewer or try this to fix.  https://techloris.com/com-surrogate-has-...d-working/
