or are there issues today?
    airstrip makes me freeze and crash - i move in super slow motion to slow to play
and the lag follows me everywhere; just it's the worst at the airstrip and almost playable other places -

i'll check my PC i don't think it's me though; my ping isn't that bad around 150 or so... anyone else having issues this time? it's about 6PM Central Time in the US (Texas)

Actually it might be - though I did see someone else post that the Airstrip made them freeze. I'll free up some memory and do some maintenence on my PC and try again.

Don't bother opening screwing around with RAM.
It's a well-known bug that the developers apparently fixed, which would cause a LOT of race cars to not be removed correctly. The Las Venturas Speedway start is near the airstrip, so that would definitely explain it. You'd get normal FPS, but then drop very sharply when you were in the area full of spammed race cars. If you drive out, your FPS should resume back to normal.
