Irc help!

Ok. I'm having 2 problems with IRC.

First, on the sa-mp.nl webchat/IRC I get

Unable to connect : java.security.AccessControlException : access denied
(java.net.SocketPermission irc.gamesurge.net resolve)

Then on lvp echo the page is blank!!!

What is going on =[.

Please help!

You are connecting using the webchat on sa-mp.com, don't do that! Use our own webchat.

Might be a Firewall. Try disabling that first, then try the client again. Also try an installed client like mIRC before online clients. http://www.ircatwork.com/ worked for me when a Firewall was interfering, so maybe it will for you too.

2 things:

Firewall not connected, I know it's not coz on my network cable configuration it says: Connected, firewalled. when theres a firewall. now it just says Connected. And also, how do I use that IRC @ work thing?

First of all: you did not use the sa-mp.nl webchat, thats just imposible. We dont connect to gamesurge.net, thats the sa-mp.com (web)chat.
Second, we have a very nice IRC topic in Server Information.

I did! sa-mp.nl then clicked on webchat/IRC!

And I read the IRC topic.

+ karol, I cant coz I cant connect. I cant join a server if I cant connect to the IRC.

But I got it working at that link TEF sent me.

I can use that for the time being.

I had the same, @ school.
It looks like something is blocking java to connect to the server.
reinstall java?
