I was on yesterday when this happened and I personally didn't think I should take action, yet. I do agree with HandigeHarry that it was a potential flamewar, especially given the community.

HandigeHarry's rights will not be revoked.

Two things I'd like to say to the two of you:

Target: When you get muted, whether you agree or not, don't rejoin to evade it. Fighting abuse with abuse is not the answer.
HandigeHarry: Be a bit more lenient. Nothing really happened yet. I do agree some of his comments were muteable but you should have done it at that moment. Not later on when he said something else.

Allthough other members who flame in main chat (Swift, Low Carbon) never get muted by VIP members because they would lose their rights...however, as of today, muting in 'potential flamewar' situations (you dont actually have to flame for that) is allowed, please VIP members, write this down since you'll get a way with it.

So him muting me, is abuse, yet his rights don't get revoked.

You cannot see who gets muted so you can't really claim that it never happens. Besides, they get muted quite often. And if they flame, why would the VIP in question lose their rights?

Like I told Harry in my previous post, be more lenient about it. In other words, don't mute yet, only if it happens.

I did not say it was abuse. I was speaking from your point of view. If you think it's abuse, fighting it with abuse is not the answer.
