Recruitment
#1
Since a few people are scouting for developers, I suggest we set some rules regarding recruitment.

I think we should create a child board somewhere on these forums and explain that LVP is recruiting for developers. Make them fill out a quick application form and then if all goes well get them on IRC to give them an interview.

That way, when a potential developer arises, we can ask them to fill out the application form and we have a place where we can review developers.

In addition, I can add to my SA:MP forum signature a link to the child board since I'm quite respected on those forums.
I should hopefully attract a few experienced scripters.

Thoughts?

Can any manager create a child board somewhere (maybe in Las Venturas Playground) and hide it until we've decided what to ask in the application?

A few examples of your previous work would be required to show what your scripting  skills are.

Jay: Why do you need a childboard?
Having 100 childboards with 2 topics doesn't really help.  We have already too much emty childboards.
If it is just "we are searching for developers" bladiebla, we can create a topic in Announcement and/or a page like developers.sa-mp.nl or ..  If that is enough.
So unless you have a good reason for a childboard, I say no.
