I've already said this to striker, but I post it on the forums for some fast help =').
You can repair your car by going to a stunt and typing /vr. I don't think this is what it meant to be.

Only the bodywork gets repaired, the vehicle health itself is restored after the player leaves a map.

But that's what it is, if you leave the stuntmap you get the car health back.
If you have an expensive car (tuned) and you don't want to damage it you can simply do that. It's not a big issue but it's worth it
