Would be cool to witness the end of the world. Imagine that seeing a huge ass meteor (or a stone whatever) coming towards the earth. A few days before it hit you will see its surface cover the skies completely and you'll see it moving slightly.
A few hours before it hits,  everything is dark because it's blocking the sun and you will see thousands of smaller meteors raining through the atmosphere lightning up the earth again, for a few minutes.
Then, silence. The human race is terminated and our planet has turned into dust.
