2.94 blog post WIP

Las Venturas Playground 2.94 is a whole new generation of gaming - a version of LVP like no other! This version has only just begun development and already BETA Testers are praising the progress and anticipating this as a release that could be bigger than 2.90.

2.94 has only just come out of its first Alpha Phase and already has seen every single known bug fixed and tonnes and tonnes of features... from new mini loop-the-loop games to whole new interface improvements!

So, what's new so far?

Spray Tags

This feature has only just been developed. Pictures say 1000 words.


Pre-Alpha version of the new Spray Tag feature for 2.94. Although this picture shows reference to only 4 tags, there are in fact 100.

Bug fixes

That's right! EVERY known bug has fixed! From problems with the fightclub to issues with gangs! The lot.

Stunting

I really cannot even begin to explain how many new stunting features have been added to this new version.

In 2.94, there will be well over 5000 new objects. Here's an example video of what eF.Pedro, an LVP mapper, has recently made:

Race map preview

There are MANY, MANY new stunt jumps, ramps, races, derbies, minigames, and general stunt areas throughout the whole map! 2.94 is all about stunting and the new stunting features.

New minigames

Although no new minigames have yet been finished, we have plans for implementing Don't Get Wet which many of you will have already played, and a new minigame called Haystack.

Already there are well over 15 new "pushoff" derbies, new race tracks and new DM areas. Here's an example of just one of the new race track's we'll be using:

New Developer

We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Kase to the development team who already is doing a really good job and has contributed quite a lot towards 2.94 bug fixes.

Economy & Interface

The economy is bouncing back with improvements! Properties are back to normal! Spawn weapon prices are still nice and cheap and there will be lots and lots of things for players to newly spend their money on! From personal vehicles to property upgrades and improvements!


The interface has seen quite an overhaul with some excessive improvements to things like the old minigame signup messages, join messages, and news messages! Textdraws are now in place and there are new options for players to control looks and enable/disable certain messages.



2.94 is not due to be released for quite some more weeks but we certainly are making excellent progress. We hope that some of the new features planned will expand the community to the size that it once was.
