It is curious how (according to some things I heard on TV and read in Wikipedia), this kind of earthquakes (~8.8+ in Richter scale) are meant to occur once every 20 years, but so far there's been 3 in 7 years. The Indian ocean one on December 26th, 2004 (~9.1 in Richter scale), the Chilean one on February 27th, 2010 (~8.

, and this one (~8.8-8.9). This doesn't prove anything and I might be wrong of course, but in my opinion this kind of huge earthquakes are occuring way more often than "usual". God knows what's next.
