Development ideas for 2011

Hey, just post your ideas on what we should do to improve the server this year, the ideas will be discussed at the dev meeting soon, don't discuss about any idea here, I'm just collecting.

My ideas:
  • A house system, maybe for VIPs only, that would players get to donate again
  • A new vehicle system
    • [li]VIPs can buy vehicles for their houses.
    • Random vehicle system
      • SpawnRandomVehicle( type, X, Y, Z, A );
      • Types = Cars, Planes, Bikes, Helicopters, Trucks

  • New DM minigame system
    • You can join at every time.
    • No last man standing, maybe first to 15.
    • Top 5 players shown in a textdraw.
  • Userbars
  • Gang minigames, features
  • Finishing the gang system, including all bugs.
  • Database system improvements.
  • Rewrite of many functions in functions.pwn
  • Removing the ship as peacezone, player can also use /pause.
  • Website should show more user statistics and/or server statistics.
  • Online ban/kick list.
  • Instead of  bug reports, CSI, unban requests at the forums a userfriendly ticket system... [DEV], [CREW] and [MANGAMEMENT] tickets to create.
  • Enabling registering/changing name and password while being ingame.
  • Re-designing many commands and features, such as /my to dialogs. (They are more userfriendly)
  • A new forum system, maybe vBulletin or IPB.
  • No real need of spawnweapons anymore: Players should get their weapons from the beginning.
  • Removing every unneeded function to reduce lag and FPS lag.

  • After all current bugs are fixed I believe a friendlier menu system and interface should be worked on, discussed here. http://forum.sa-mp.nl/index.php?topic=27191.0
  • More automated scripts to prevent ship laming & abusing and other relevant rules that admins have trouble dealing with and keeping up with.
  • Better rule policies, clearly some trolls that you know the names of love to find loop holes in the current rule system, just to be a smart ass to crew.
  • Better drive by policies, possibly removing the punishment menu's for cars as they are easier to avoid a drive-by from than bikes that can shoot in the front direction. Also possibly removing some of the cheap weapons from drive-bys to keep the people who don't support drive-by's less angered.
  • Possibly remove front seat drive-by'ing for bikes as people find that very cheap in most cases, needs discussion.
  • More stunting functions, being a "stunter" myself and with LVP having the word "stunt" in its name, there is really no stunting functions beside /maps and /ramp. Other than that it's just a DM and somewhat RP server, not much contributed to stunting.
  • Discussion of a DM world, in otherwords probably a whole world contributed to DM tactics, possibly weapon drops everywhere, similar to Grand Theft Auto IV's default multiplayer. (Should be discussed.)


Just my two-cents, most of it would need discussion before every thinking about scripting such a wall of text, a few of these idea's are kind of game changers to LVP.
