GTX 480*

It's logical you lag when there's several people around because your machine has to process all the players and their movements etc. which means the workload is higher, someone else sure knows more in-depth about this, BUT what is not logical is that you lag with your new PC but not with your older one. Are you sure you properly installed the latest drivers for Motherboard (Chipset, LAN, Sound if you're using the integrated), Videocard, etc?

Also, keep in mind the "the better the PC the better the game runs" rule doesn't always apply due to compatibility issues, some times certain games work best on the top machines of the time they were released, which doesn't equal the top current machine. I'm not an expert either and maybe half or all what I said is bullshit, but hell I'm bored atm.

WTH!!!! 6GB Ram and i-7 ?!?@!#

dude that's certainly a malware or for a worst case scenario: a virus.
i had the same prblmes with svchost.exe malware and i can't remove it till now, i just end it from task manager....
anyway, check out how much CPU is used when nothing is running but windows, and check out the used memory, all from task manager, and be sure to view proccesses from all users then come back and post again.

am still like O_O and X_X
