French or Latin?! HELP!

Oh god..

I have to choose a second foreign language (actually my third if I count Turkish..) for the 12th & 13th grade.

As the title says my choices are French and Latin.. and I'm quite unsure. I've got 2 weeks to decide and 2 years to learn either one of them.

I need as many opinions as possible (already asked a dozen people ) because I want to make sure that I choose the right one!

Please name your reasons if you're going to suggest either one of them languages.

I've had Latin for one year, and French for three years.

Imo, both languages suck.
French's a bit easier to learn and you're probably gonna use it more than Latin, but on the flip side, being able to speak Latin's pretty sweet

Latin is nice and would be good to learn, but French would be a lot more useful. If you have to choose it'd be best choosing the useful one.

I only know some colours in French, hi and bye and can count (used to be up to 20, now only 10) and some others. I used to know more but forgot most, and could never speak a full (and useful) sentence in French.

Depends on what you're looking for, really.
For most practical purposes, French would be best to use, however if you want to be able to just churn out sweet song or album names, go with Latin.

I don't see the point in learning a dead language to be honest. Choose French, although it's a hard language to get good at.

There's no doubt I would choose french, but I can't leave it unmentioned that latin is freaking awesome language ;D

Ich hab vor 5 Jahren auch zwischen Latein und Französisch wählen müssen^^

Also bei mir wars so... Latein war die ersten 3 Jahre extrem einfach, also wirklich einfach gute Noten zu bekommen, immer so zwischen 1 und 2, war echt nicht schwierig (nur muss man eben recht viele Vokabeln lernen, aber ich denk das wird in Franze genauso der Fall sein..).

So ab dem 4ten Jahr wurde Latein aber immer schwieriger, bis man schließlich im 5ten Jahr überhaupt keine Chance mehr hatte und man froh war wenn man ne 3 hat xD

Zu Französisch kann ich keine eigenen Erfahrungen posten, aber meine Freunde die franze haben finden es auch sehr schwer und scheiße xD.
