Why is everyone moaning about auto-aim

Having an unfair advantage doesn't necessarily mean that it's cheating.
Admins have an unfair advantage by banning people or muting them, that's not cheating.
Auto-aim is just lame.
Using a mouse increase the way you play in other games aswell.

Well, that's like saying Peter has an unfair advantage over me because he's got access to the server! It doesn't make sense, I meant unfair advantage on game play.

There was a big post recently on forum.sa-mp.com about speed key programs (The ones that allow you to create shortcuts for specified actions, ie: F6 for /buyweapon 0 10 or something like that). I know it's not the same as auto aim, and it's not considered widely as cheating, but it deals with the same issue: unfair advantage.

Can i ask somthing? are u guys taking the piss? Auto-aim is used by loads of different people across sa-mp! If it was cheating, It would not be synched! Half the people that voted are nooby clowns who think theye are so skillfull because they use manual aim.... Theres a word for that ronald, Bragging.

You guys want to know what is lame? Well, has it ever occured to u guys that ALL clowns appear to be good? Well one of our ColdThugZ spies revealed that the clowns have a little "shooting tactic" in which takes a bit of practice, makes you practiccly invinceble against gun shots, you do die after a while, but it makes other people harder to kill you guys! Thats not skill, thats research! Research to find out what movements gun fire cant handle in SA-MP. That, my freinds is lame.

Researching skills is not illegal, nor is it lame... 


And auto-aim is a cheat, the actual setting is "target-lock" now, and it has a random chance of a bullet actually hitting someone, it does not always hit 100%

So practicing and getting good at a game by finding the best way to play is supposed to be incredibly lame and forbidden now. Are we supposed to start playing a game with a certain style and not adapt. If by chance in the natural variance of our styles we discover one with positive benefits to our enjoyment of the game as in many cases skill are we not to adopt this mutant style over the wild type.
By groves ideals evolution is very lame as it makes use of improvements to an original style and therefore would lead me to assume that he dissaproves of all things that have been developed in this way and should therefore live alone as a sort of primative RNA based life form about to become extinct.

Ok first off I personally didn't vote in your poll at all Grove. As I said, I think target lock-on is lame, but I didn't say it was cheating. Also:

I think most people would agree with that actually, it does require a certain level of skill compared to target lock. That's not bragging (that's your area). Perhaps you haven't noticed that the reason all clowns are good is that we only recruit top players? We handpick them for their shooting skills and as part of our gang policy have banned the use of the lock-on feature. I don't know what you're talking about when you say, and I quote:

It just seems that you are trying to find excuses to cover your own faults in my opinion.  That last sentence of the quote is absolutely ridiculous! Researching or finding new manoeuvres to shake your opponents off or to try to make them miss you when shooting is not lame, it's a skill you acquire and some people are better at it than others. If you can't shoot them, then that person needs to improve the accuracy of their aiming to compensate. Simple really.

I also use my Caps-Lock to target somebody... But I often miss, so I don't get a chance from anyone for calling me an auto-aimer.
