Laptop screen?
#1
Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a 22 inch screen to connect to my laptop, since I barely know anything of screens, I'm posting here for some help. Do I need to buy one that is compatible with my laptop or do they all work? Any special cords I need? Anything else I need to know? How much would that cost?

afaik every screen works if you got it connected with an HDMI-cable to your laptop.

You'd need something like this

Got an  LG W2361V  (23" Full-HD)  and its just awesome :)

Kinda the best for its price, atleast here in Germany (~160€).

A cable to connect them would cost ~3-5€

If I connect my laptop (Full HD) to my bro's HD Ready TV, the screeen shakes a little on it. Why is that?

Exactly! My brother got the same screen, just fantastic quality at it!  O+

I got an SyncMaster 2032BW (22'' Full-HD)

Here it cost ~300€

If the monitor and your laptop has a HDMI port then you can just connect with an HDMI cable. If not, you will have to connect using a VGA cable.

22" screens are dirt cheap nowadays, but just don't expect the same quality as your LCD TV's.....the monitors are cheap for a reason.

Don't know how far you live from the Netherlands, but Mediamarkt has some stuff for good prices. They got stores near to Belgium.

Mediamarkt is mostly bullshit to be honest. If you are searching for screen related stuff or whatever, I surely wouldn't recommend going to stores like that. Enough stores out there, but try looking on some companies' sites and check the specs of the screens. You can either order them directly from there then or go to a real electronics store, where at least probably most of the workers will know decency.

Oh, and forgot to mention that most of the LCD screens are overrated, at least when it comes to TV's. A five year old Plasma screen has better quality in colours and is more natural than most LCD's.
