Man U 1 - 2 Man City (Carling Cup Semi, 1st leg)

Best game I've seen this season I think. Not because it's Man U who lost, to their own former player, but it was just a great game to watch.

I found it funny the way Tevez scored the two goals, the first penalty (BIG DIVE) was because of Bellamy, ex-Liverpool player. That was no way a penalty. The defender just tapped his shirt, and then he managed to get inside the box then rolled around as if he just got shot.

Then liked the bit where Tevez got Man Of The Match too. And where Rooney and Owen missed a nearly open goal.

In my opinion, Rooney should of got the MOTM. He played better than anyone on that pitch, had some great shots. But found it funny when he got mad and punched the air near the end of the second half.

Was laughing at the end though where Valencia went inside the goal but the ball went outside when it shoulda been the other way round.

And can't remember who it was, it was a Man U player, not Evra, but another black guy. He got somethin thrown at him, looks like a piece of green glass. He really felt it too because he put his hand over where it hit.

Man U were the better team in the first half and Man City were the same team that lost to Everton the other day. But then once that penalty came, it changed. City were the attacking team, and even though United still had some decent attempts, they didn't pick it back up until towards the end of the game.

(Liverpool fan pretty much praising United, AND Rooney, now that's somethin! And considering where Rooney grew up I shouldn't of done that!)

Oh and even though Man U got the usual Fergie time, that I think that ref was bias towards Man City. Kept giving fouls to them for little taps yet letting obvious fouls go when it's a United player going down (and not a dive).

EDIT again (ouch big post) Turns out that Ferguson has had a history with that ref (Mike Dean), he recieved a 2-touchline ban and fined £20,000. So yeah the ref was obviously against Man U. I shouldn't be defending Man U like this but I hate bad referees. If they're good in Liverpool's favour, I'd make the most of it but still wouldn't agree with it.

I know, and it shouldn't of been a freekick either really, he didn't have that much of a bad grip. I've seen much worse incidents getting the 'jog on' response. But I'm not complainin though, it's Man U after all.

By only watching 10 minutes you only saw the shit part. Got much better later on.

Liverpool vs Spurs today! We better sort things out soon or we'll be saying hello to Derby.

Hahaha

Bellamy's a bit of a hot-head though. I mean when he played for Liverpool he once chased Riise around with a golf club. I still don't understand how he got the golf club in the first place. For starters, it's England, not that many golfers over here. And secondly, it's football!

Liverpool 2 - 0 Tottenham! Kuyt ftw!

And Arsenal beat Bolton 4 - 2. Were down 2 - 0 then they finished 4 - 2 and are in first place thanks to the goal difference.

If Liverpool win Wolves on Saturday and Spurs lose their next game, we'll be 2 points ahead of them in fourth place and will be one place behind United...but we'd be about 10 points behind them. Man City are also level with Tottenham with points so they'll need to lose too.

Chelsea beat Preston today in the FA Cup, 2-0. It should of been 3-0 though but the referee disallowed the goal to give CHELSEA (the disallowed goal scorers) a freekick right infront of goal, which they missed.

You see this is why I hate referees, they're so stupid these days. None of them have ever heard of advantage play or learnt the rules of fouling (if the player touches the ball first before the other falls over, it's no foul no matter how bad he got hurt). It's as if they become referees by holding the winning raffle tickets or something.

But Preston gave Chelsea a hard time throughout the game, and never looked like they lost confidence after going down 2-0. They kept it up and gave it their all, and nearly scored a few times...but it just never happened. I actually wanted them to win at first, so the Premier League teams can go out of the FA Cup early, but then I found out Fergie's son is the manager so I was all for Chelsea.

Lol only Chelsea left out of the known "big four". It'll be like the classic Ronaldo playing against Derby. Chelsea should warp this FA Cup...but then again, so should've Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal...but Chelsea have been the better team all season. Let's just hope Arsenal stick to 1st place in the Premier League.
