Man U 1 - 2 Man City (Carling Cup Semi, 1st leg)
Best game I've seen this season I think. Not because it's Man U who lost, to their own former player, but it was just a great game to watch.
I found it funny the way Tevez scored the two goals, the first penalty (BIG DIVE) was because of Bellamy, ex-Liverpool player. That was no way a penalty. The defender just tapped his shirt, and then he managed to get inside the box then rolled around as if he just got shot.
Then liked the bit where Tevez got Man Of The Match too. And where Rooney and Owen missed a nearly open goal.
In my opinion, Rooney should of got the MOTM. He played better than anyone on that pitch, had some great shots. But found it funny when he got mad and punched the air near the end of the second half.
Was laughing at the end though where Valencia went inside the goal but the ball went outside when it shoulda been the other way round.
And can't remember who it was, it was a Man U player, not Evra, but another black guy. He got somethin thrown at him, looks like a piece of green glass. He really felt it too because he put his hand over where it hit.
Man U were the better team in the first half and Man City were the same team that lost to Everton the other day. But then once that penalty came, it changed. City were the attacking team, and even though United still had some decent attempts, they didn't pick it back up until towards the end of the game.
(Liverpool fan pretty much praising United, AND Rooney, now that's somethin! And considering where Rooney grew up I shouldn't of done that!)
Oh and even though Man U got the usual Fergie time, that I think that ref was bias towards Man City. Kept giving fouls to them for little taps yet letting obvious fouls go when it's a United player going down (and not a dive).
EDIT again (ouch big post) Turns out that Ferguson has had a history with that ref (Mike Dean), he recieved a 2-touchline ban and fined £20,000. So yeah the ref was obviously against Man U. I shouldn't be defending Man U like this but I hate bad referees. If they're good in Liverpool's favour, I'd make the most of it but still wouldn't agree with it.
