they will release like this.. its just. the texture of all models will be made when a model is finished. they wont change any texture again.. Its to much work to aply texture mapping just for a trailer or so.. it cant be done. takes way to much time... look into the .txd or that other format in san andreas gta3.img (texture / models)
It will look like this. they wont change textures the last 2 or 3 months.. they fixing bugs now. fixing stuff and scripts. testing .. lots of testing.. but no.. they Wont change textures. They already finished all the textures and models and now testing the stuff.. They REALY wont change it again..and the 3d modeling. well they realy WONT chance that! if they do! they have to do all the texturework again. they are not so stupid enough to do that.. No guys.. what you see is what you get. these textures and models in the trailers.. il bet it will not be any better in the release.
BUT whatever!!
The game will still rock.. its big.. and gta always had GREAT fun !! so this will be great!! its all about the story!

Well, I'm pretty glad tbh. More time to get a console, and more time for them to develop it. Maybe we will see better textures...

Take-Two is reducing its fiscal 2007 guidance primarily to reflect the movement of the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from the fourth quarter of fiscal 2007 to fiscal 2008, due to additional development time required to complete the title. Why, you ask?
Strauss Zelnick, Chairman of Take-Two, stated, “With Grand Theft Auto IV, Rockstar is setting a new standard for next generation video games. Certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected, especially given the commitment for a simultaneous release on two very different platforms. We all recognize that perfecting the game is vital and I can assure everyone it will be worth the wait. We owe it to the game’s millions of fans, to our dedicated development team, and to our shareholders to make sure that Grand Theft Auto IV is a groundbreaking gaming experience that takes maximum advantage of next generation technology.â€
Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games, added, "The new consoles are allowing us to create the Grand Theft Auto game we always dreamed about. Every aspect of the game and its design has been completely transformed. The game is huge and is pushing the hardware platforms to their absolute limits. The top engineers from Sony and Microsoft are working closely with the team in Edinburgh right now, helping us to fully leverage the power of both platforms. As always, our goal is to surpass even the wildest expectations of the game’s fans, and to create the ultimate high definition video game experience."

Quote:- Every Building is pock-marked with the scars of modern living.
- Graffiti stains walls, billboards and the back of filth splotched vans feature in the game.
- The realism of the shooting system has been overhauled. Aiming effects everything. Headshots actually kill people this time, and if you shoot someone in the leg, they limp.
- HUD contains health bar that goes around the map. It is described as a thin, green band.
- Most key gameplay aspects won't be revealed before the release.
- The reporters saw Niko using a couple of different pisols, an Uzi and Little Jacob's trunk had a few rifles, including Sniper options and others. These Sniper Rifles are customizable.
