Multiplayer is fun, but only for like 20mins.

First off Colin, I admire your work, you're a gifted comedian and you should contribute to some of the threads here to bring some real humour to the board.
Secondly I completely disagree with the "20 mintues" thing, if you have the right crew to roll with it can be awesome fun.
Finally, your character looks sweet  >:)

Well yeah its fun when you play with friends in a locked server on freeroam but you can only mess about for so long with the cops until it gets boring. TDM is great fun, I've played on quite a few 32/32 games, even managed to kill a few Rockstar dev's, but a lot of the combat just boils down to drive-by's in public games and the sync sometimes can be worse than a SAMP server.
Maybe if I had never played SAMP I'd probably think it was amazing. Guess I should try playing with more SAMP people in future.

I don't think you've played much IV-multi (about 20 minutes worth?), or have a shitty computer.
The sync on IV is always better than any sa-mp server, and fighters on-foot have the advantage against drive-by'ers 95% of the time.

Played over 10hours on multiplayer and my PC runs it at constant 30fps(quad core@3.1ghz+9800GT1gig, 4gig ram).
If a lagger appears in IV-MP he warps across the screen worse than anything I've seen in SAMP. Yeah sync is better when it comes to shooting the actually character model instead of lead aiming, that's pretty much spot on, but in many other ways its really laggy. A guess its to be expected since the game is having to simulate traffic and ped's and then 32 people ingame. It's still fun though, maybe my "20minutes" line is a bit of a exaggeration.

Yeah this post makes a lot more sense- nice computer btw.
There is a good deal of laggers in IV- but I'd come across maybe 2-4 'hopeless laggers' max per day, with 5-15 laggers who's lag I notice but can deal with.
Overall I'd put it at about 15% of people, as opposed to the 100% of people in sa-mp.
I think a main reason is the fact that the game is so technically demanding- in a year or two there'll be less laggers in IV-multi, without a doubt.

Just talking about IV-MP today, I loaded it up, messed around in TDM.

Totally forgot you cant car surf in IV-MP.

Every time you try the character just spasms off the top of the car onto the floor into an annoying animation.

Yes, there are animations/movements I'm disappointed with (cars being "too realistic"- I prefer easier handling like in VC or SA, or the characters turning circles) however I can't stress enough how fresh it is for not every one of your kills to be 'blamed' on lag.
