Mute Commands...

When you get muted, you receive a message saying you should speak English and shouldn't use caps(dunno the exact message), you do a !eng or w/e after to tell the player what exactly he's muted for. Why put a reason? If they complain, the mod/admin who muted them will reply with either another !eng or a personal PM stating the reason. If they don't reply, the other mod/admin should ask the other: 'Hey, why did you mute ID x?' Then he'll do the !eng stuff again if needed.

If the person mutes someone and leaves before the person asks why, you simply go up a bit, or check how long he's muted. Depending on how long he's muted, see if it's actually worth replying(note that this doesn't happen very often, so not replying once is fine).

In other words, reason is not needed imo.

i think the reason is needed! most of the time you might forget why you muted them :x or the admin who muted them leaves, or times. It should just be optional, its when you do /muted the reason would show up next to the player name..

All you said there, is in my post :+

Forget why you muted someone? Short memory? :+ It's 2 mins ago maybe(if it's more, it means you muted him/her more then once and should know, usually for non-English).
Leaving / timing doesn't happen very often but then again, they'll probably rejoin or say in .echo that they timed > if the muted person asks, they see it in adminchat and should reply as they muted him/her.

It does no harm to include an optional reason parameter to the command though. It's just one extra easier thing for admins, when a player get's muted, along with the time they are muted for, it will just help them understand if a reason is stated as well and will make it easier for admins as they hopefully won't have to do all the !eng stuff. If an admin is muting several people at once, I presume it must be hard to remember each specific reason for each person, in some cases they might get confused, but they won't need to remember if the reason is stated  to the player & logged.
