As many will know, javascript is used on many pages online. It's a clientside scripting language which allows website developers to do things such as resize windows, send the user alerts/prompts etc. etc. Javascript is used on the reply page - in the emoticons - hover over and you'll see in the statusbar something like

I decided to conduct a javascript speed test on Firefox 3 and Safari 4 on Mac OSX (10.5.3 9D34).. and it turns out Safari 4 is ahead...
