Re: Show your desktop here - FarePak - 04-24-2009 My new computers desktop, my older desktop sucked. Re: Show your desktop here - Mike - 04-24-2009 Yes, India. Call your Dell support hotline. Anyway, the strengths in OSX do not come from one single thing (like having lots of programs to use). It comes from everything owning a Mac has to offer, which I have already listed. Some of the programming strengths are that it is stable and modern. If you ever used a Mac long enough, you will realize that everything works the way it should. If you don't know how to use a feature on a Mac, it is often that the most intuitive way is the correct way to do something. OSX is fast, easy to use and maintain, and doesn't randomly crash (as I've found the case to be with Vista at times). There is a well-built backup system called Time Machine that is convenient and fast. The search function is fast to access and displays results quickly. They laptops are less than an inch thin. The speakers are amazing. There is the multi-finger feature on the track pad. We also have the power efficiency of the operating system. There is then the capability of the operating system to recognize and use more than 3 gigs of ram on a 32-bit operating system. But hey, no one uses that much memory, now do they? I just called Dell and Apple support. It took 650% longer to reach a Dell support personnel than it did Apple, and I couldn't understand the person when they answered. They had an accent common to English speaking Indians. Both systems equally have their strengths. It is useless to argue otherwise. Re: Show your desktop here - Maka - 04-25-2009 Keepin' it simple.
