I don't even use an antivirus on my PC anymore besides Windows Defender. Unless you go on sketchy sites I think you'll be fine without one on your phone.

exactly^ I posted this thread as when i visit playstore, rating on some  "known antivirus and optimization apps" are damn high like 4.7-4.8..People give reviews like "damn it catches all faults", "best antivirus.. works real fast"
And when we install them it gives all day notifications "all false detects"..Android OS don't even need any external protection its based on linux kernel
Some of them also recommend you their "safe browsers" whenever you try to do netbanking stuff.. e.e(why would i trust u over google)
Seems like thy are trying to hold onto open platforms and sell their stuff..As long as u are installing stuff from Playstore.. reading permissions while installing apps.. not root-playing with ur phone.. u r good to go and don't need to install all those 360 protection stuff to make ur phone laggy and beep all the time..

360 doesn't make any lag, actually it's a good antivirus for both pc and phone.

I have ESET antivirus on my pc and it's the best.If u are looking for a good android antivirus I recommend CM Security.

RE: Android Authority - Dan - 09-17-2017

I have used Eset nod free version myself... Its a good product, Malicious stuff detection is common in all Antivirus Softwares.. What distinguishes ESET from others is the light weight and low false detection...(it never caused any false detection on my pc)
Never do any assumption based on paid benchmarks.. Currently i use Avast paid version..
