I think a minute (or whatever it currently is) works fine, gives people enough time to join, and allows new-comers to kinda understand what they have to do, also, some tricky hiding places require longer, e.g. one of the 'rooms' in the Pleasure Domes.

I actually think that reducing it to fourty seconds might be fine. In my experience, players tend to end up waiting for at least 20-30 seconds after having found their preferred hiding location.

In my opinion, 60 seconds is the best, not too quick and not too long. Players waiting 20-30 seconds is a little rare and doesn't harm, reducing the time will most likely be a problem for new players.
