Release schedule - Kase - 06-12-2013
The latest Las Venturas Playground build will be deployed on the mainserver each week. The deployment window goes from Friday to Sunday. Here's the ideal release schedule:
Friday
- Build the latest revision of the gamemode;
- Upload it on the testserver, and make sure everything runs smoothly;
- Write a news article about what's new in this release (and what to expect in the following ones, if anything) and a detailed changelog (the trac timeline can be useful);
Saturday & Sunday
- Make any eventual last-minute amendments to the gamemode;
- Eventual additional testing;
- Push the latest production build of the gamemode to the mainserver;
- Publish the news post;
- Tweet about the new version of the gamemode;
And that's pretty much it. Make sure you're available on the development channel, #LVP.dev, where most discussions before releases take place.
