[Suggestion] Banking system - Beaner - 05-01-2013
Hi,
Since the banking system is quite bugged at the moment, I'd like to suggest an entirely new system to make things easier; mainly for new players.
- Get rid of professional accounts completely. Plus points can be gained easily by winning rampages and overall, it's a subtle concept. I suggest we get rid of them too.
The bank limit should be changed from 20 million (default) to 100 million automatically, when a player reaches 10 hours of playtime. No more plus points, upgrades or periodic bank limit extensions of 20 million.
- With professional accounts and plus points removed, all restrictions from ATMs should be removed. Any newly registered player should be able to use them.
- Reinstate all the ATMs.
- Change the platinum account restriction from 20 plus points 200 hours to 10 plus points 100 hours. Upgrading should cost 50 million and the bank limit should be increased from 100 million to 500 million.
- Manual bank limit upgrades from 500 million to 2 billion (optional) need to be made cheaper. Right now, players have to pay 2x the amount + 2 million to upgrade. For example, if the bank limit is to be extended by 100 million, it'd cost 202 million. This is quite a lot.
- Change '/account settings banklimit <new limit>' and '/account settings earnings <on/off>' to something short and simple.
- Add a new command such as /banking which would explain the banking system.
Our banking system is quite complex now and it's unnecessary. Making it simpler will just make it easier for players to use and understand.
It'd probably help since our existing system has a lot of bugs.

Thanks for your suggestions! The bank system is being rewritten, and, while it is still incomplete, it is way easier to understand than our current one. Most of your suggestions were already implemented (or are shortly going to be).
We'll only have two kind accounts, Normal and Premier: these can hold up to 400 millions and 2 billions respectively. Players who have at least 100 hours of ingame time will be able to pay an one-time fee to upgrade their Normal account. Pluspoints won't be of any use anymore, so they'll be removed aswell.
