Download Cinema 4D or Vegas and watch some tutorials.

Adobe Aftereffects and Sony Vegas are popular for editing. I use Vegas 9.
Fraps is commonly used for recording gameplay.

Use fraps or Dxtory for recording, then use AE or Sony Vegas for editing.
