New cellphone - Jhon - 04-27-2012 Hello, I know this should be in the Tech Talk section but it's more visible in here xD Anyway, I need advice from you experienced users. Right now I got a Nokia 5800 (1 year and 2 months with it), and I've really enjoyed it. Even though it's not the phone I wanted back then, I ended up liking it. This is my first & only smartphone (by smartphone I mean that it has a MicroSD memory stick, can take pictures, play music, browse in the internet, etc). BUT due to the fact that no matter how good your phone is, you end up getting extremely used to it (nearly the same as bored of it), I want to change it already. Since my aunt is going to Spain in May and I know that cellphones are MUCH cheaper there, I want to know which one should I ask her for. Keep in mind, however, that I do NOT care about what applications / OS the phone has, since all I want it for is to take nice pictures (aspect in which I consider the N8 is leading), and playing good quality music. The 5800 in my opinion had a great quality, but its volume on the earphones was somewhat low. So far, I've read about the N8, Samsung Galaxy SII, iPhone4S (my last option actually), and some HTCs. Actually even though the Galaxy SII, iPhone4S and HTC One X are neat phones, they're out of my budget. Right now I can spend up to 300 Euros / 400 USD. So far, due to its price and features, my top candidate is the N8, but I want to hear your opinions with other phones, recommendations, etc., but please also tell me about specifications, and why would you (not) recommend that phone. Once again, remember I do NOT care about applications / OS, just good quality photos and good quality, loud music playback. Thanks in advance! Re: New cellphone - Joeri - 04-27-2012 Make sure you aunt removes whatever phone you tell her to buy from its packaging, manuals, everything (let her mail that home or something). If she's searched at airport and they see its not used and just imported you'll risk her having to pay import tax and a fine for not declaring an import. And iPhone +1

Re: New cellphone - k1LLa_v1 - 04-27-2012 iPhone or nothing. Re: New cellphone - MacSto - 04-28-2012 Most popular camera on flikr is the iPhone. I think it takes great pictures for a phone, and has a great UI. But yeah, you can get bored with it. When that happens, just jailbreak and load some themes
Re: New cellphone - MoHiT[Dx] - 04-28-2012 N8 is Not worth its Money. way too expensive and not that good either. Go for Lumia instead if u wanna choose Nokia.. about Apple : i wont say its Bad. but i've heard that it's got some bugs/glitches in it. And Androids are always good. i mean Cheap and worth its money. ![]() so good lucky with buying a new Cellphone But dont make N8 your 1st option. Keep it your as last option.. Re: New cellphone - azerty - 04-28-2012 Sony Xperia P ? LG OPTIMUS 2X ( camera aint great ), Nokia N9 ? Re: New cellphone - 0Target0 - 04-29-2012 Iphone is out of his budget, even in spain. Re: New cellphone - Maka - 04-29-2012 Fuck the iPhone. Way too expensive for what you get, basically the same with every Apple product. Get yourself a nice Android within your budget range and you won't regret it if it's a smartphone you want. Make sure to check for some information on it first though when making a choice. |
