Jail - Joeri - 11-01-2011
The purpose of the jail is to change the behavior of a player.
- I'd like the old jail island back, I think it would urge players more to change.
- The rules should be displayed every time a player gets jailed, with an accept button, if they don't accept -> kick.
- Maybe a 3 strikes and you're out policy can be instated. 3 jails ->kick. 3 kicks->ban.

2. The "Accept button" system isn't a good idea as a lot of newbies don't know English. Kicking them for such a reason just isn't the right thing to do.
3. This can be a big problem for people who drive-by and get jailed as a punishment.

Players have to understand the rules though.

I agree, but players don't deserve to be kicked for that (after being punished thrice), considering that LVP allows drive-by's.

It is allowed, but punishable. Jailing the player for 1 minute is one of the punishments so now you see what I mean.

I just joined the beta server with a non-registered account to check if the players still had the accept button in order to be able to join the server, and apparently it has been removed, so for that reason, for not being so friendly for newbies it might not be the best solution.

Option 1 is nice always loved that island. But option 2 and 3 are too harsh, players already find us too strict no need to make it even worse.
