Lets get started - Jay - 08-29-2011 IF YOU CAN MAKE ANY OF THE ABOVE DATES JUST PICK THE FIRST ONE Alright folks, we're making a video showing a drift race. We're going to use car mods and enhance them by adding Neons. Although this is an LVP promo video, the recording will actually be done on an edit of LVDM on this server: play.sa-mp.nl:7777 We're going to decide on a race course around the San Fierro badlands. It will be on SA and not on any custom mapped areas. Using an ingame object editor we will enhance the race course using smoke and particle effects and traffic cones, etc. 4 racers, 2 of which are recording. The other 3 people recording will be in positions throughout the course in helicopters or using a SA:MP version of camhack to get good angles. NOTE: IF USING FRAPS IT MUST NOT BE A TRIAL VERSION. It's not hard to obtain a free full edition! There should also be 6 actors at the start of the race course. 5 of them will be in the crowd waving and using animations. The other one will be walking in front of the racers in a woman skin and waving them off to go, just like Need for Speed. Danny will be editing the video. Recorders will have to compress their footage and upload it. During the race, one of the racers should do a bad turn and come off the edge for effects towards the end. We will need the graphic designers (Kase / Tpimp) to create two things: 1. A Small banner for the website, similar to this: . It should have the full LVP logo and the words "2.94 Promo" in a cool but readable font.2. A cool picture of a vehicle drifting (Infernus or something) with the LVP 2.94 logo above it. Use your imagination, I'm sure you can whip up something cool ![]() Once we have all the footage captured and uploaded, Danny, we will discuss the editing in depth. There are a few basic requirements (use of the official animated logo etc) since this thing is official. As a group, there will be two things we will have a vote on: 1. The time and date we start the recording. Vote above. 2. The best drift music to edit the video with. We'll have a vote on that once editing begins. Vote for your favourite time when we can all meet up on the server and get this thing going! Making videos in SA:MP isn't easy. Here's a teaser of what I've got in mind: Canyon Sa-mp Only way better
Re: Lets get started - Pedro - 08-29-2011 I chose Saturday 10th Sept night, anything after 10th Sept will do fine for me too, before of that I won't be at home. Re: Lets get started - LilBoy - 08-29-2011 Saturday 3rd Sept NIGHT Re: Lets get started - LasTRace - 08-29-2011 I'm free @september
Re: Lets get started - Matthias - 08-30-2011 Saturday 10th september would work best for me I think. Problem is that my schedule could change 1 hour beforehand. Re: Lets get started - Kase - 08-30-2011 @Voting: I'm free everyday's afternoon until the 12nd or 15th, not really sure. I'd like to suggest the other recorders to use Bandicam instead of Fraps: way less lag, an awesome feature which lets the video compress without bad feedbacks on performance, and pretty easy to use, even though it's not free. Worth a try. If you've got a 64-bit and are willing to try it, PM me for more info. The other guys with a 32-bit already know what should they do. ![]() About the graphics, I'll make something as soon as possible
Re: Lets get started - Kase - 09-02-2011 Doublepost! Done the first GFX work:
Re: Lets get started - LasTRace - 09-02-2011 awzum Re: Lets get started - Danny - 09-03-2011 (08-29-2011, 07:52 PM)Jay link Wrote: Recorders will have to compress their footage and upload it. Can I just add that the smallest size you can compress it to, the better. My internet is slow. A 2 minute fraps file is usually around 3GB, which would take about 6-7 hours to download
