I am using WEP for the security of my home network and I know its not much but it did the job till' now . Some how when im trying to switch for the other options WPA or WPA2 my laptop wont recognize my net and won't able to join the web . My other PC (this one) works with it just fine . What can be the problem ? Hope someone here have some knowledge . (Counting on you Hitman) P: Re: WEP / WPA / WPA2 - Anyone ? - Rien - 06-01-2011 Beat his shit up. Alternatively, upload a bunch of horse porn to his computer. Re: WEP / WPA / WPA2 - Anyone ? - Tuism - 06-01-2011 I don't know exactly but some routers don't support having WPA/WPA2 keys, maybe your router doesn't? Re: WEP / WPA / WPA2 - Anyone ? - Dominator33 - 06-01-2011 Agent..just get someone over to his house to tell him to stop using it, unless he likes a punch in the face Re: WEP / WPA / WPA2 - Anyone ? - Maka - 06-01-2011 Agent you're a soldier man. Confront him wearing your army suit and ask him straight on "why are you on my net?". Re: WEP / WPA / WPA2 - Anyone ? - Dominator33 - 06-01-2011 Well his knee is broken so he is laying in bed all day. :7 Re: WEP / WPA / WPA2 - Anyone ? - Agent - 06-01-2011 Rofl yeah I might just do that the thing is I don't exactly know who's the bitch . In the router option there is a possibility to switch to the WPA/WPA2 mod , but its seems that my laptop wont find the net . The other computer (this one) works with it just fine . Re: WEP / WPA / WPA2 - Anyone ? - Agent - 06-01-2011 Some friend told me to update the Firmware of my router (D-Link DIR 300) and I did , now I can set a WPA password for my net and both Pc's are working with it fine ! YEEEHAAAA ![]() Thing is I still "feel" that something slows my net speed down and I seem to have a problem finding what it is . How can I check it out ? Re: WEP / WPA / WPA2 - Anyone ? - Tuism - 06-01-2011 good thing ![]() you can check it by going into your router control panel, normally in the "wireless" tab, look for "DHCP clients" Re: WEP / WPA / WPA2 - Anyone ? - Agent - 06-01-2011 What am I looking for in the DHCP clients tab ? |
