iouTimer - iou - 05-26-2011 I just thought I'd post it here in case someone was looking for an application like this (as I was). This was my first try at C#, not that it's very different from C++ but. ![]() Here it goes.. Re: iouTimer - Danny - 05-26-2011 I've been looking for something like this for a while now. I often have my computer on as I go to sleep, and use programs like AutoShutdown so that it turns itself off. Turns out it was a 30 day trial and I haven't been able to find anything else since it ran out. Good job
Re: iouTimer - iou - 05-26-2011 Glad you found use of it. ![]() It will be updated soon though cause apparently the "Poweroff" option is identical to pushing the power button on your computer. This means that the effect will vary from motherboard to motherboard (or windows settings), some needs 2 pushes to shutdown which means that it won't really do anything. EDIT: Done0r Re: iouTimer - Matthias - 05-26-2011 Gimmeh source! Re: iouTimer - iou - 05-26-2011 Actually, after reading some more about this poweroff flag, it apparently means "Shutdown ATX style". This means that it will only work if the motherboard supports ATX and will force shutdown (just like the Force option). The default option "Shutdown" is using AT style which is a newer shutdown style, it will wait for applications to close and keep on waiting if an application doesn't close. Also, for some reason the Force option now logs me off, so I'll have to look into that. (05-26-2011, 04:19 PM)Matthias link Wrote: Gimmeh source! Actually no, but here's a hint: ExitWindowsEx ![]() Sorry for this double post, but I had to notify that everything is fixed and the newer version is uploaded. It's the same link though. [modbreak]HI, LITHIRM WAS HERE[/modbreak] Re: iouTimer - Tuism - 05-27-2011 This is really useful for me man, thanks alot. think you can make it minimize to tray in future releases? Re: iouTimer - 0Target0 - 05-27-2011 Cool! Can you also make it prettier? Re: iouTimer - iou - 05-27-2011 (05-27-2011, 03:16 PM)TwistedDemon link Wrote: This is really useful for me man, thanks alot. I suppose I could when I have some time. (05-27-2011, 03:21 PM)0Target0 link Wrote: Cool!
Re: iouTimer - Matthias - 05-28-2011 I'm not asking how you did it, I just want to see what the project looks like

Update As TwistedDemon requested, there's now an option to minimize it to system tray. I've also added the ability to load/save external configuration files, as well as editing the default configuration. The default configuration file is what's loaded when you start the application. There's a small downside though, you now need to install the application. ![]() Again, it's the same link. |
