WLM - Richard - 01-12-2011 Since a while, WLM thought it was funny to pop-up this message every time I open it: "This page has an unspecified potential security risk. Would you like to continue?" That comes with 2 options, yes and no. The stupidest thing is, whichever I choose, nothing happens. The pop-up goes away and that's that. It didn't bother me all that much at first but it's becoming quite annoying. I googled for a solution but I only found outdated things which didn't work. Anyone have any idea how to remove it? Re: WLM - cloakster - 01-13-2011 WLM as in windows live messenger? Have you tried scanning for viruses and spyware? Re: WLM - Richard - 01-13-2011 Yes @ WLM. And, no I haven't. I'll do that today. Edit: No result on the scan. Re: WLM - Richard - 01-17-2011 So yeah, seeing that did nothing, any other ideas? Re: WLM - iou - 01-17-2011 Reinstall?

Re: WLM - Richard - 01-17-2011 Reinstall failed, unfortunately. Re: WLM - Munch - 01-17-2011 It might not work, but try deleting this from the registry: 380689D0-AFAA-47E6-B80E-A33436FE314B Just paste that in the "Find" feature and it should find it. It's sometimes not there for me when I have a certain problem that comes up every now and then, but a reinstall sorts that problem out, then I find it, delete it and I'm all set. You've already tried reinstalling so if the address wasn't there before, it should be now. Re: WLM - Richard - 01-17-2011 I found that, deleted it, opened WLM and it still happened. Thanks for the ideas so far! |
