SiN - Strength In Numbers - R*BOMB - 09-29-2010 Truly is remarkable. Would seem every few months someone will come along trying to recreate SiN or someone will try to use the tag of SiN either directly or not. Its amazing how 2 years after the clan was turned inactive that its reputation still lives on as strongly as it did when it existed, and the effects it had on her members is still evident to this day. I have yet to see a clan which had as much of an impact on the sa-mp community as SiN had, in life or death. All of this leads to a question -- "what was SiN?" Was it just another clan from the birth of sa-mp? Simply, No, was just not another clan, it was more than that. It was a mentality, a style of gaming exclusive to her members. Something that simply cannot be created again. There are some misconceptions of SiN as people know it today, SiN did not start with the "SiN" tag, it was formed a year before that tag was adopted, under the tag "TX" and "XT". This was the first generation of members, the originals. Almost all of these members made something of themselves in the community and in the sub-communities of sa-mp. The second generation started when SiN was becoming as we know it today, a time when we were emerging as a major clan, a force pushing on the entire community, a time when an empire was to be born. This is when we started to form standards for recruitment and demanded proper etiquette from our members. From there we found ourselves in the "third general of killers" something that needs no more explanation than this video: [SiN] - The Launch Unlike today, the community of the past was tightly knit and everyone knew everyone and servers were fiercely competing for players. A Clan to exist around that was something else, i would dare say, a clan was more than a group of friends it was almost a political entity. Today everything seems in disarray, the mentality of the past and the morals that were held through only respect have since disappeared. After the third generation, we found ourselves in the fourth, which was a period of decline, to the point where we decided to close the clan for a month. After I reopened the clan (my biggest mistake) the clan was not the same, we couldn't form what we had before the raw power that the clan practiced with before was gone, the reputation lived on but it was not the same, the members were all what i would of called SiN wannabes, despite them being in SiN. This was a period which shame and tarnish was thrown on the clan's name. But to my surprise we weren't getting comments about how SiN sucked, we were getting comments about how this generation sucked. So to save the face of the clan, and to allow SiN to be remembered as it as, and not as it is, i simply kicked everyone, and I to this day would like to say, i maintain my position as leader of SiN along side of d3st0y3r. Once a SiNer always a SiNer. Those who were in the clan, wont forget there time in it, and ill be damned if they find a clan of equal power and reputation to be a member of. SiN is a place of pride in the hearts of not only its former members but of the true veterans of SA-MP So, as a note to those who seek to make a new clan, one that even remotely resembles the tag or name of SiN, Don't. Doing so is just making enemies in places you cant imagine. HoogerBooger, if my memory serves me right, this seems to be the second time you have pissed off everyone here by doing this. Your pathetic. Go make your own clan with its own reputation rather than building from a pre-existing one. On a side note: SiN may be coming to a server near you in a force resembling that of the third generation in the coming months, we will see what happens though.
