I want to do the new vehicle layouts - bubbles - 04-08-2010
As the subject says, I'd be more than happy to do the new vehicle layout for the entire map.
Know the server well, know the vehciles well - I can do a balanced, varied and structured layout based on performace, position and ratio (i.e spawn points and busy areas)
Makes sence to have one person to do the lot so they know whats 'there' and in near areas etc, and I'm willing to spend the time to sit down and add the 1500 or so vehicles.

and yes estroe - this is another post just after my previous one...but i want to keep this seperate - so no merging please...
How about a special world for VIPS only. The main reason I'm thinking of this is that you can have a big kick ass carpark that vip's can only access to get the car they want to teleport back to the main world.
Also can add certain stunts/maps etc that are in the beta or wheren't added to the main world for VIPs to mess around with - a nice touch.

mhm special world for VIPs seems useless, cos the few VIPs that are usually online never really talk with each other lol, VIP chat is almost always empty for example.. also there's special gang worlds, so the ppl that actually want to go in a seperate world can do that just fine
and about the carpark thing.. nah, wheres the fun in just teleporting to get the car?

The fun is that if you decide to, you can go to the virtual world to get the car you want - without having to spend time looking for in the main world in the hope someone doesn't have it.
And you don't have to be in the vitual world with other VIPS to mess around with some not made public maps.
And loads of VIPS play and talk to each other, just because they don't talk to you

Yeah, cos they dont talk to me it doesnt appear in the VIP chat, seems logical
btw i talk to lots of VIPs cos they're my friends, but nobody gives a shit just cos they donated, we talk because we WANT to talk, has nothing to do with VIPs
imo being vip has enough advantages already, no need for even more

I call bullshit right there. A special room, special refill & runner stuff, fine. Special colours, special chat, fine. Mute rights, definitely not fine, see how it gets abused by most people especially when noone is around. And now you want that any VIP should even get any car that he wants, whenever he wants, as often as he wants. Great. Why not implement a feature so VIPs can teleport to props? Or guns for free?
Seriously, VIPs already have a big advantage over normal players (which wasnt intended for VIPs at first), lets not make it bigger then it already is.
A carpark in a vWorld with a special LICENSE would be a good idea though, that EVERYONE can buy. Maybe like /license buy for $5.000.000 and then everybody can tp there and get the car he wants aslong as hes connected, just like the gamling permit etc.

I don't like the carpark idea. It will get used far to much and people will stop searching for vehicles. Maybe we could expand Auto Bahn Vehicle Importers some way.
@ vehicles: We're starting development of "the next big step" which has a priority to redo the vehicle layout. However we're looking on changing the handler first, perhaps so admins can edit vehicle data ingame, which saves. As you can see from how out of hand the previous vehicle layout became, the current system is a mess.
I'll keep you updated on this. But note that we have priorities to clean up the source code and refactor lots of handlers, which alone could take a good 6 weeks or more.
