They will always be able to see how long you played, bud. It's a command available to everyone in-game.

Your reasoning for wanting your hours reset is pointless, man. There's nothing you can do about people seeing how long you played. In fact, it's a good thing to have many hours—it shows how long you've been around and helps show experience. Keep your hours.
