Bill Shankly Week! - Munch - 11-30-2009
On December 1959 a man from Scotland, Bill Shankly, set himself a target to turn Liverpool, a piece of shit, to a top team that you all hate to see on your fixture lists (hated moreso back then though). When he joined Liverpool were the Derby County you see today, with poor ground, training ground, fitness staff, coaches and everything was all low then he turned the team around.
This week will mark the 50th anniversary of his arrival to the club, and as he was a great man (even Alex Ferguson has said positive things about him, that's gotta mean somethin!) he deserves a topic here!
I dunno what there is to talk about actually except perhaps what you know of him or somethin...this was just announcing that this is the 50th anniversary of him becoming the manager of Liverpool.
