Buggy Buggy Bugs... - TEF - 10-18-2009

:D

Here's a few bugs I stumbled upon (they could be known, but I just want to be certain)...
  • Players can kill inside interiors.
  • The kick/ban reasons exclude any word with an apostrophe in it (e.g., if I were to ban Player_A for "Cheatin' in LVP," it would only show up with "in LVP" as the ban reason); note that you may want to look into other characters being excluded as well, such as the exclamation point, question mark, etc. Further investigation proves that the kick/ban reasons will randomly exclude the first word of a reason. And with the "/why" command in-game, it excludes the last word. This should definitely be looked into. :+
  • The "/deleteloc" command screws up every other saved location except the default 0 & 1. For example, say I saved location 3 in San Fierro and location 4 in Los Santos. Upon deleting location 4, location 3 would become the same as "/gotoloc 1." I reported this for 2.90.X, but I figured to report it here as well.
  • If you have any weapon (a rocket, but I think it may be for any weapon) given by an admin, quit, then reconnect, you'll be automatically banned for weapon cheats. ;(
  • You can't add NOS to the Dumper. You can spend money on it, sure, but you can't actually use it. This may be true for other vehicles, as well.
  • "/v [ID] health" is listed as a command when you type "/v" alone, but when you try using it the server gets really angry and tells you it's an "unknown command." The current command for this ("/p [ID] vehiclehealth") is fine the way it is, in my opinion. :+

Have a nice evening!

Players being killed inside interiors - Fixed

Re: Buggy Buggy Bugs... - Jay - 10-18-2009

Interior Kills -> Fixed
Kick/ban commands -> Known
Deleteloc -> Known
Weapon cheats -> Can you reproduce this?
/v ID health -> That command does actually exist, it just fails.

Well, it's either fixed or being masked with that "select a skin first" bug. :+ (You know that one, I'm sure.)

Fair enough.

Also, just to be certain, there are a few others...
  • There are a few vehicle spawn locations that are failing (i.e., two cars spawning on top of each other and under the street).
  • "/mute" & "/jail" are experiencing the same bug: "/mute 23" is the same as muting ID 23 for 23 minutes with the reason of "23" (same goes for "/jail"). If no ID is given and you mute with part of the name, it mutes for the default two minutes (should be permanent).
  • "/p [ID] cash" is giving $0 instead of showing the amount of money someone has. The same thing happens with "/p [ID] bank." Could all commands be royally fucked at the moment? :+
  • It seems that players are getting random spawn-weapons (M4, grenades, TEC-9, etc.)... :?

Double vehicle spawns are also known.
They just need to be removed some day, not important for now.

[me=TEF™]bumps...[/me]

As you can see by this image, the muting system seems to be a bit bugged. No matter how long you mute someone, it always thinks it's 50 minutes. Not to mention that it doesn't even tell you what the reason for the mute is. :+

Quite a few commands in 2.91.0 have issues - it's due to a critical function which handles 70% of LVPs commands, screwing up. It's been rewritten for 2.91.1. However we cannot update yet due to an issue we've been struggling to resolve for quite a while now.

I'll lock this for now. If any of these command screw ups occur after the .1 release, create another topic.
