Question - about sa-mp server - Palladium_Palace - 10-10-2009 Hey guys, as i´ve learned a bit scripting i would like to test some of them with a own server. So i´ve created one. But I can´t find this server on the "Internet". I don´t know why. Anyway i can´t use the my ip, which i find on www.whatismyip.com and then :7777, so the server has a other adress (sth like 192.168.0.197). Can anyone please say me what i need to do to get this server added to "Internet" (btw i announced it in server.cfg). Thank you very much! Greetz Re: Question - about sa-mp server - Dominator33 - 10-10-2009 Maybe you have to forward your ports. http://portforward.com/ Re: Question - about sa-mp server - Hitman - 10-10-2009 yep, port forwarding is the answer. Re: Question - about sa-mp server - Munch - 10-10-2009 On MTA Race you weren't allowed to find your own server with the server browser, isn't that the same case on SA-MP? Anyway how does port forwarding works, and what do I have to do? And, btw isn´t it normally so that your server IP is yourip:7777 ? it´s so on all servers... (is it possible, to enter/change somewhere the serverip?) Anyway, i would be very thankful, for any help or tip ![]() Re: Question - about sa-mp server - Matthias - 10-11-2009 (10-10-2009, 08:03 PM)Munch link Wrote: On MTA Race you weren't allowed to find your own server with the server browser, isn't that the same case on SA-MP?Nope. First go to http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm and find your router, click it, then click 'skip advertisement' on the top right and you get a list of games. Select San Andreas Multiplayer and follow the steps! (Make sure 'announce' is set to 1 in server.cfg) Matthias PS: 127.0.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 is a homehost, only you can see it. Re: Question - about sa-mp server - Palladium_Palace - 10-12-2009 Thank you, for your help, Matthias! This portforwarding doesn´t really work, there´s an unknown error. But anyway, i was able to forward my port via local router settings, and i´m happy about it, so i can test my scripts, maps, etc... now ![]() Thanks for your help, my freind, i really apperciate this. Greetings from Palladium Re: Question - about sa-mp server - Matthias - 10-22-2009 You can always test your script locally, doesn't matter if your ports are forwarded or not ![]() Just add 127.0.0.1 or 'localhost' as IP and run the server
