welp - Darkfire - 10-03-2009

So, anytime  play Left 4 Dead, the PC keep freezing all the time, for like 5 - 10 seconds, like every 30 second, it doesn't happen on any other games, also the PC sometimes lagg, the mouse warp all over the screen, while just on IRC etc, what the hell is wrong?

Re: welp - Shark - 10-03-2009

Take it to a PC shop...they'll fix it, rather than you sitting waiting for an answer here.

Happens to me as well, Did you download it or buy it?

Re: welp - Hitman - 10-03-2009

buy ofc

is your pc overclocked?  L4D gets cocky when your hardware is overclocked a lot

Re: welp - Darkfire - 10-03-2009

I think the GFX is overlocked, can't remember actually. I'll check when I get home.

Re: welp - Hitman - 10-03-2009

Yep, try without the gpu oc. I remember L4D freezing a lot when i had my GTX 260 overclocked to the maximum. Either reduce the OC, or increase your  gpu fan %

Re: welp - Darkfire - 10-03-2009

It wasn't overclocked, I had it on normal :+ but then again, I maxed the whole shit out now, and my screen went emo then the PC crashed, lol.

Re: welp - Sean3 - 10-03-2009

Why OC? I mean your pc already runs what ever you play smooth, why put your pc on danger just to get a couple of more FPS?

Re: welp - Darkfire - 10-03-2009

Seems like it's sorted now, after I fully overclocked the GFX so the PC crashed, its back to normal now steady on 100fps, lol.
