[fixed in 2.90.40] Entering a car - weeyin - 09-20-2009
Today when i was on LVP i tried to get into a car but it wouldnt let me. It wouldnt let me in the car at all, no anim nothing just stood there i also saw a good few other players with the same problem. The only thing i didnt understand the supposed bug would go away for about 10mins then come back again.

When you lock a car using the /lock command and you timeout then, sometimes the vehicle remains locked until it gets respawned.
(Atleast thats a problem of a lot of vehicle handlers, dunno if its the case on LVP too)

You can purposely lock a car if you get in as a passenger and do /lock. Even when you get out, the car is locked.
No idea on freshly-spawned cars, though. Maybe they spawned a bit in the ground? I know I've seen that happen in LVP before, though I've never been stuck from entering the vehicles...

If you want to get into a locked car, press enter than quickly esc, wait 10-15 seconds un-pause and bam, you're in the car. works with alot of things.

pffff... getting in locked cars is very easy, atleast if its 2-X seaters. 1 seaters like the pizzaboy or vortex hoovercraft wont work tho..
just go on the roof of the vehicle, press G and wait till the animation gets stuck, and GTA SA will automatically put you in the passenger seat. there you simply do /unlock, get out and get in as driver again
works fast and fine, no need for pressing ESC etc

Indeed fixed in 2.90.40, so fix is already live. Moving this to resolved.
